This image is a studio photograph of produce. I wanted to be able to show the texture and translucence of the fruit, contrasted by the mushroom, with its soft gills. I used strobes behind the food to shine through in order to show the texture, cutting into the cap of the mushroom in order for the light to shine through it. I took each image individually with the food hanging on a wire, then put the three images together in post.
